CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: December 15th

I have to be honest; it has been kind of hard to concentrate on CBB with what Keyontae Johnson has had to go through this weekend. The latest report that he was following simple commands was encouraging, but still all prayers go out for a full recovery. We do have a 7-game slate tonight, so let us get into it. One thing to note is that in the last couple of days we have seen a late game postponed due to COVID reasons – it does create a small dynamic where playing early players is probably better if they are coinflip scenarios – just get in the good games when you can and avoid disaster or -EV swaps.

(Remember this slate starts at 6:30pm)

Clemson (64), Tempo: 66

There are two very ugly games on the slate, and this is certainly one of them. I am not interested in almost anyone from this game, and certainly not from Clemson, as Aamir Simms ($7,800) is the most likely guy to play over 30 minutes and he is expensive, with often foul trouble, against a coach who typically does not allow players to score inside. Right now, Simms is the main player, with Trapp, Newman, Dawes, Honor all playing around 25 minutes per game at the guard position and then Baehre, Hall, and Prosper splitting time at forward. Everyone is limited in terms of upside and it is a terrible game environment as well.
