CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: February 10th

Another smallish slate – 7 games on this Wednesday. We are getting a little bit towards the end of the year, so bubble talk is popping up and the hype is slowly starting to begin. Unfortunately, the contests are still a bit small, so hopefully we can fill the current ones and DraftKings can start pushing. WE have a lot of good defensive teams on the slate and then two awful defensive teams. I think this is going to be a slate with a lot of concentrated ownership.

Virginia (66), Tempo: 60

Generally, I am used to Josh Pastner teams playing relatively fast but still having a good defense. This Georgia Tech team is quite slow with a competent defense. With Virginia playing one of the slowest tempos in the nation, we have two teams who are going to avoid pumping the pace and happy to use all the shot clock. This ends with a 60-possession projection and the worst game on the slate to target. Jay Huff ($8,100) and Sam Hauser ($7,900) have been solid fantasy plays as of late, but their price has risen and away from home in a 60-tempo game I find it hard to believe they are going to get enough opportunities to break the slate at these prices. Trey Murphy, Kihei Clark and Reece Beekman have been the value guys, but they also have horrible overall projections and I really am not interested in this game at all. No one on Virginia is even close to 4x projection.
