CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: February 23rd
Long slate here on a Tuesday, as we get towards conference tournaments which start this week. Unfortunately, I will not be running the Jerome this year as I just think it is a little bit too difficult to judge with COVID issues – I will plan on running it next year as usual. I will try to keep the breakdowns a little bit more concise today as 10 games is a decent chunk. Let’s get into it.
West Virginia (79), Tempo: 68
Normally I would love this spot, but we have a TON of high tempo/high scoring games on the slate and we all know about Bob Huggins’ rotations. That being said, it’s really hard to ignore Derek Culver ($7,500) today considering how poor TCU’s interior defense is. This Jamie Dixon defense is just not up to snuff right now, and Culver should be able to dominate if given enough minutes. At 25 minutes, he still projects at 4x value, so he is one of the highest upside plays on the slate in my opinion. Miles McBride ($7,800) is going to continue playing 35+ minutes, and this is a very fair price for him. While I think Culver has the better matchup, McBride has a very nice floor and some upside. McBride is cash viable at this price as his projection is good and I cannot see him disappointing often in this spot. Everyone else is way too inconsistent in minutes on a slate with a ton of good plays.
