CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: February 24th

This should be an interesting slate as a lot of the spend-up options are kind of lackluster but we have a lot of solid mid-range options and some value on the slate, so we are going to need to spend somewhere. Let’s get into this 8 game slate today.

North Carolina State (59), Tempo: 61

Cam Hayes ($4,800) has played extremely well the last two games and it seems like the 4-star who was ranked as the 13th best PG in the nation coming into NC State has finally found his groove. Hayes is viable here if only because he is going to play 30 minutes under 5k – the problem is we must decide if we want to risk him against Virginia, or use some of the other, better options under 4k. He is viable, he just is not my favorite play. I guess you could argue for Manny Bates ($6,000) because of his block rate and rebounding rates, but the scoring forwards like D.J. Funderburk and Jericole Hellems are completely off my radar here against Virginia. We saw Dereon Seabron ($5,700) also take over 30 minutes per game in the Wake Forest game and go bonkers with 38 FP. You could use him, but I would exercise caution as this is the same guy who put up 10 FP in 30 minutes against Pittsburgh and has terrible overall rates. Hayes is the only guy I am reasonably interested in here and even though I have him as GPP viable, he is borderline cash viable even against UVA.
