CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: February 3rd

Today we have a 9-game slate on this Wednesday with one hyper-fast game and a few slow games. This should be quite interesting to see the ownership distribution on the slate.

I went 1-2 to start the sports betting bankroll challenge, and you can follow along here – The Run Up

Let’s get into the DFS slate for the day.

LSU (78), Tempo: 75

This is the highest tempo game on the slate by 5 possessions, and LSU as a 7-point dog is the 3rd highest implied total on the board. I would expect a TON of ownership to be centered around this game and for good reason. LSU has one of the most potent offenses and one of the worst defenses in the country. They also play at a high tempo, so their games often turn into shootouts. Sometimes we have a situation like this where the projections do not match the tempo of the game, but with a few price declines on DraftKings, we have huge projections on both sides. Trendon Watford ($7,400) is your first decline in price, and his usage should also increase a ton with Darius Days sidelined for a couple of weeks. Watford is one of the bets plays on the slate – we do not need to talk about him much – he has 5 category upside, will have huge usage, has a great projection in a fantastic game environment and should be the rebounding leader. Also benefiting from the absence of Days is Josh LeBlanc ($4,100) and Shareef O’Neal ($3,700).
