CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: February 4th

What a wild night – DraftKings did not end up locking the Missouri/Kentucky game, and people ended up swapping into some of the better players. DK invalidated all of their lineups, but I do not think anyone was completely satisfied with how the slate went. Let us hope that tonight goes a bit better. Only a 5-game slate here with B10 and Pac-12, so here we go.

We took a couple of bad beats in the bankroll challenge last night, but we plug on here – The Run Up

Arizona (73), Tempo: 68

The biggest thing to note on this slate is the status of Kerr Kriisa ($3,000) who should be one of the better players for Arizona this season assuming he is playing minutes. He was a top 100 recruit at the PG position, so it should be easy for him to rack up points. He is eligible here – the problem is that he is a big banged up, so the number of minutes he is going to play is up in the air. Sean Miller stated that he does not have a minutes limit, but is unsure of how many minutes he will play, which sounds a bit like coach-speak. I am probably OK with just taking a shot on him at this price because what could really go wrong? Even a 10 FP performance in 15 minutes really is not that bad. James Akinjo ($7,700) is likely to see the biggest hit if Kriisa plays a good deal of minutes. Akinjo is probably still fine to play in GPPs (no guarantee that Kriisa takes most of the possessions), but I would lay off Akinjo in cash. Someone is going to have to come out of the lineup, and that is probably Christian Koloko, who is not interesting anymore to me. Dalen Terry should also see a few less minutes, but Azuolas Tubelis ($6,500) and Bennedict Mathurin ($6,200) are likely to stick. Mathurin showed no ill effects of his ankle injury, although he was slightly more timid in the last game.
