CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: February 9th
We have a 6-game slate on the docket today, and look who is here – Alabama! I feel like we get Alabama three times per week at this point. This is a relatively short slate for a Tuesday – only 6 games on the docket, so let us get right into it.
Alabama (81), Tempo: 77
Here we go again. Alabama has the highest tempo and the highest implied total, and now it’s obvious that Herb Jones ($7,100) is so banged up that he is not playing as many minutes as normal. Herb is an elite play when healthy because of all that he does while on the floor, but if he is only getting 26 minutes, it is not a great play to use him here. I almost prefer that he ends up sitting this game – then we could easily use Josh Primo ($4,100) and Jahvon Quinerly ($4,300) and feel pretty good about the number of minutes they are going to get. Primo is extremely high variance. He is playing minutes, but his shot rate has dwindled to almost nothing in the last two games. We saw this before, and then he broke out and went 6-8 from three against LSU. There is a reason he is only $4,100, but that also makes him very attractive considering the game environment.
