CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: Friday, November 12th
A little short on time this morning (have the kids and a kids doctor appointment) so apologies if the breakdowns are a little bit shorter than usual. I am somewhat disappointed we do not get the SMU/Oregon or UCLA/Nova games on the main slate, but such is life. Let’s get into it.
Kent State (66)
We do not have an official exhibition here, so this team is still a little bit of a mystery. The good thing is that we know that 4 of the starters from last year are going to be back, and Kent State brought in two decent transfers in Sincere Carry ($3,800) and Andrew Garcia ($4,300). It would make the most sense to see Garcia take over for the departed Danny Pippen, but I think that we could see Rob Senderoff go smaller with Carry who was a dominant player in his time at Duquesne. With Garcia being a little bit more expensive, I think the easy play here is Carry, who Senderoff says is going to have a special year for the Flashes. I am not afraid of using him even if he comes off the bench. Malique Jacobs ($6,000), Tervell Beck ($4,600), Giovanni Santiago ($5,700) and Justyn Hamilton ($4,500) make up the other four starters, and none are particularly piquing my interest. Maybe Beck, who is a solid offensive player with decent rebounding rates, but will need to rebound more aggressively with the departure of Pippen. Beck should be nice value at this price point but as we have seen early in the season, we do not need to take too many chances with how soft the pricing is.
