CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: January 12th

We are back here with large contests on this Tuesday. It looks like DraftKings has decided to push the prize pools now that CFB is over, so let us get out there and fill these things so DK has reason to push the prize pools later. Also just announced was the Bracket Mania contest, so always look for the satellites in the lobby – they are probably going to fill quickly.

Mississippi (67), Tempo: 70

This is not a great spot for the Rebels despite Florida having a top half tempo and this game above 70 overall projected possessions. Ole Miss gets a ton of their projection from their interior, and Florida still has one of the better interior defenses in the nation despite getting destroyed inside by Kentucky. I am not big on this team – Devontae Shuler ($7,000) is fine, but he has struggled a bit recently and you are paying a big price for a guy with a lower floor, and Luis Rodriguez ($7,100) does not project well enough with his rates to be a play. I guess you could rationalize Romello White ($6,700), but even he has fallen off a little bit lately especially in the minutes department, and he would need around 32-33 minutes to be an effective play. KJ Buffen ($6,300) has incredible rates but has only played over 30 minutes once this year. Buffen would be a good play around 28, but he also has a large FC/40 giving him some insane foul risk (part of the reason he does not play that many minutes). This is a spot where in general, Ole Miss projects horribly – there is room for plays, but you must make some assumptions on Shuler, White, Buffen, so they would only be GPP options.
