CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: January 19th

After a good weekend off we are back tonight with a really nice nine game slate which features a $444 100 man contest. It certainly looks like it is going to fill as it is over half full by the time I am writing this, so if you are going to play you probably want to reserve your spot now. The $15 is also a $5k to first, and it seems like Tuesdays are the days that DK is pushing the CBB contests.

Purdue (68), Tempo: 65

Brandon Newman ($5,100), Mason Gillis ($4,400), Eric Hunter Jr ($6,000) and Sasha Stefanovic ($5,800) have all had their time to hit 4x in the last couple of Purdue wins, but all are extreme dart throws here. I would only really recommend Gillis as he is the cheapest option, although Newman has the best overall tempo free stats of the bunch. The problem we have here is that this is a 9-game slate and Trevion Williams ($8,600) still takes a huge share of the usage. While Williams is a prototypical GPP play and a fine look on this slate in large fields, I am likely not running any Boilers today. They all project poorly in one of the lowest tempo games on the slate against a team that typically plays decent defense (albeit a bit poor this year). Overall, not a great spot for Purdue and I see only one player with upside.
