CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: January 21st
Last night went much more as planned than the previous night, so let’s try to keep that going here on this six-game slate for Thursday. We have two of the top post players in the country going at it in Indiana/Iowa, so we are going to have to find some value to play Garza.
Wichita State (69), Tempo: 71
Isaac Brown has done a fantastic job with this team this year after the Gregg Marshall saga ended building around Tyson Etienne ($7,900) who is arguably POY in the American at this point. Memphis has a good defense, but Etienne’s shot rate is high enough and he grabs just enough peripherals to keep him in the GPP conversation today – there are other better spend ups, so he is not a priority, but I can certainly see some interest. The problem with the Shockers is that no other player here is worth playing in cash. Morris Udeze ($4,800) and Ricky Council IV ($4,200) should both be heavily considered for GPPs based on their last two games, but they have very low floors and no minutes consistency. Dexter Dennis, Alterique Gilbert and Trey Wade have lacking upside and no floor. This feels like a poor team to target on this slate, and I am going to be light on them overall.
