CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: January 7th
A lot of stuff ended up going right for the breakdown yesterday and I think the only big miss was Brakefield, who confuses the heck out of me. Anyway, we are getting back to Pac-12 Thursdays here so let us get right into it.
Iowa (80), Tempo: 69
You have to love Iowa games – we have a 69 tempo here but both teams are expected to score close to 80 points. Incredibly, after two poor games despite high ownership, Luka Garza ($9,800) has seen a price decrease and he is now sitting under 10k. Of course, I like him here as this is the second highest scoring team on the slate, but we are going to have to find some value to fit him and fit the Gonzaga guys. Garza is an elite option as usual and you should play him if you have salary unless you are playing the leverage game in GPPs. Jordan Bohannon ($6,000) has approached that salary where I think he is no longer a reasonable play. His peripherals are just bad, and he relies on making a good number of his threes to hit value at this price. He is a fine play in GPPs because there is upside, but don’t expect him to hit 40 FP very often.
