CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: November 25th

What a year it has been since the NCAA tournament was ripped from us. I am not going to lie, those weeks were tough after the US shut down, but we are back and even though there are going to be hiccups and cancellations, it sure looks like things are moving forward. I am going to try to be as positive about the changes in the schedule as possible as the alternative is not having college hoops.

This year is going to be a bit different than the last few – because of the specialist package, I am not going to be providing writeups for every single slate. We are definitely going to be covering all of the big slates, and depending on when the big contests are offered, that is where these articles are going to come in. There will be tags on almost every slate and projections for every slate, but these long game by game writeups will only be for main slates 3-4 times per week. Right now, the big slates are going to be during the week because of football on the weekends, so in the next month or so we are going to do something like Tuesdays to Fridays for this article. When conference play hits and football ends, we will go back to a main slate breakdown for Saturdays, and then will have to judge when the good contests are for the weekends.

We need to stay mindful early in the season that these rotations are a large amount of guesswork. College Basketball is a much higher variance sport than some would imagine, and there is hardly any exhibition or early season reports to go off so most of this is educated guessing – it may be a good time to take a few wild shots in GPPs.

I will be using KenPom.com projections for the projected scores, and I use KenPom.com for all the player usage rates. I will likely add a few defensive stats to this as the season progresses. Let us get started.

Liberty (57) vs Purdue (71), Tempo: 65
