Welcome to College Hoops DFS for all of you who may be new to the column. It is a fun sport which relies on a lot of watching the games and attention to detail as there is not much information out there. The good thing is that if you subscribe here, I will break it all down for you and give you an overview of the slate. For any questions you may have, I will try to be here in the morning to answer either in PMs or on Twitter. There are a lot of games today, so here is the early breakdown and as soon as the noon games go live, I will post up the afternoon breakdown. Let’s get right to it.

North Carolina
Brice Johnson ($7,600) – Right now, the UNC team starts and ends with Brice Johnson. He has one of the highest usage rates on the team and when he stays out of foul trouble, a 30-point performance is almost a guarantee. I do not hate him here against a Pittsburgh team who has really struggled to defend teams in the half court, and despite their low tempo, this game should provide some points. Johnson is expensive, but he is very consistent and has continued to make value time after time.
Pittsburgh
Jamel Artis ($8,400) – What else can I say? He has the highest usage rate on Pitt now and is in an uptempo game against UNC, who has struggled to defend the post a lot and has put guys at the line a lot. Artis has turned into one of the best players in the country and his price has reflected that. He “only” had 27 points in a miserably slow, defensive game against Louisville and now faces an uptempo team in UNC which could struggle to defend him. He has 45-point upside in this game and his $8,400 price tag is still nice.
Sheldon Jeter ($3,700) – Jeter has obtained a large bump in minutes due to Cameron Wright’s injury. Jeter only played 16 minutes in the last game but provided 16 fantasy points, proving the fact that if he stays on the court he can be a point per minute performer. The question here is minutes and I think he gets about 20-25 if he can stay out of foul trouble, which he was not able to do against Louisville. His $3,700 price tag is a major bargain and Jeter is a great punt play.
Ohio State at Michigan State
Ohio State | Michigan State
Vegas Total | 139 | Fast Break Pts/Gm | 12.78 | Vegas Total | 139 | Fast Break Pts/Gm | 11.00

Ast/TO Ratio | 137% | Field Goal % | 53.30% | Ast/TO Ratio | 142% | Field Goal % | 50.40% |
Ohio State
Sam Thompson ($5,200) – Thompson went off last game against Penn State and while I am not expecting a repeat performance, he should be able to do enough damage against Michigan State here to justify his salary. He plays a lot of minutes and with teams starting to key in on stopping D’Angelo Russell, Russell will find his compadres like he did with Thompson last game. I am not looking for much, just around 20 fantasy points here.
Michigan State
Denzel Valentine ($8,900) – Trice came off the bench against Northwestern which really pushed Michigan State to a big win. With him coming off the bench his minutes will be limited and at his salary which sits at $7,500 here I do not want to take a risk. I like Dawson but in the last two games he has not been involved too much in the offense and Ohio State has been doing a good job in the post since Amir Williams has stopped getting minutes. Valentine is the one guy I think has the highest floor and massive upside here as his role in the offense could definitely increase considering the situation. Valentine does it all in rebounding assisting and scoring and with the three-point bonus is a great play against an uptempo Ohio State team.
