Sunday, January 25th

Congratulations to all who did well in the January Jam tournament, as I hardly had any exposure to Brice Johnson and Xavier Rathan-Mayes, which sunk me. Today we get a whole new slate and there will be more money out there to be won. There is a nice all-day slate with 12 games, and enough games going at different times where you can really sweat them and follow closely without too many going on at once.

Boston College at Georgia Tech

Boston College

Olivier Hanlan – It is hard to recommend any Boston College guys as they play slow with a poor offense, and they are projected to lose this game while scoring under 60, But Hanlan has been producing in these situations all year, and is worth considering. If we get a high-tempo poor defensive game for him, he would be a fantastic play, but until then we can still hope for 30 fantasy points. His price is a little bit high for me, but he is the Boston College offense and has the best shot at doing something good.

Georgia Tech

Demarco Cox – Anyone on Georgia Tech is going to be a risk here, but there is definitely value to be had coming off a 28-point performance against Virginia. I am looking towards Cox, as the Yellow Jackets get a huge portion of their points in the paint, and Boston College is weak there. Both Cox and Mitchell are cheap, but Cox has been more reliable lately and you can grab him at a discount. I would not even think of any of the Georgia Tech guards, they just do not get enough opportunities.

Virginia at Virginia Tech

Virginia

London Perrantes – Perrantes is of course going to be in play here as a min-priced guy who plays the entire game for Virginia. He has a solid matchup against a Virginia Tech team that is going to give up a ton of points and has a terrible all-around defense. Virginia players are all fairly cheap, but you have to remember that they are going to be in a blowout most likely and they really spread the ball around well.

Malcolm Brogdon – Brogdon has been the best player on Virginia for the last couple of weeks and I expect that to continue today. He is a great cash game play and hits 20 fantasy points almost every single day. I like him here as Virginia Tech is awful and he should put up a 15-5-5 type of stat line like he is very used to.

Virginia Tech

None – There is no way I am picking anyone from Virginia Tech today. Bibbs’ concussion, the multiple players they run out there every day, and the fact that they are against Virginia just makes them all very poor plays.
