CBB Grind Down: Thu, Dec 18th
Glean insight from one of the game’s best, Varncass, as he lists picks he’ll actually be targeting in his tournament games below, along with detailed analysis and reasoning.
Thursday, December 18th
We actually have a fairly solid FanDuel slate tonight, while only three games they have increased some of the sizes of the GPPs. As we struggle through the CBB holiday season, it is still important to remember that we are less than two weeks away from conference season. It will come.

Seton Hall
Primary Plays
Isaiah Whitehead – Whitehead is a little bit expensive, but it is hard to argue with the volume he is getting right now. He has a 31% usage rate and Kevin Willard is giving his star freshman every chance he can to make an impact on the game. He does contribute lightly in other categories, so his main ability to score fantasy points is in the basket. It makes him a risky play, but with the high usage rate he has one of the highest upsides on the board.
Secondary Plays
Angel Delgado – I really like Delgado’s price today, sitting there at 6,900. Delgado is a superb rebounder with one of the highest offensive and defensive rebounding rates in the country. He also contributes in blocks, and while he does not make up a big part of their offense as Seton Hall is very guard oriented in that manner, he is able to grab some putbacks. The issue here is that South Florida has one of the better inside defenses in the country with Perry and Guerrero which could cause some issue for Delgado.
South Florida
Primary Plays
Bo Zeigler – Zeigler still sits at min price for South Florida, and while he has been greatly inconsistent this year, he still brings 25 point upside for a min priced guy as he gets about 25 minutes of run every game. He plays the 3 and 4 for Antigua’s crew so despite his smaller stature, he still is able to contribute on the glass and sometimes scoring. Zeigler is a nice punt play, but does carry risky.
Secondary Plays
Chris Perry – While it has been Corey Allen or bust lately for USF, I think they go to Perry early and often here against Delgado to get the inside game established at home. Delgado is fouling at a 4 fouls per 40 rate and I think South Florida is going to want to get him out of the game. Over the whole season, Perry still has the highest usage rate and rebounding rate on the team, so I like him at a discount more than Perry. Be careful though, because I would not use Zeigler and Perry on the same team.
