CBB Slate Breakdown: First Round, Day 2, March 20th
We had a pretty crazy day for the first round of the NCAA tournament and now get another packed day of games. Let’s get right into it – I will be updating tags in the morning.
Georgetown (67), Tempo: 68
In the Big East Tournament, Chudier Bile ($5,700) was consistently one of the chalkiest players to play on the slate – he is underpriced, continues to play big minutes for Patrick Ewing and has great rebounding rates with some blocked shot rates and is an efficient scorer. His price has not moved at all, and he is in play again here. The thing that makes him a little bit more difficult to play is that this is a 16-game slate and Colorado is one of the best defensive teams in the country. Bile is in play, but he is not elite here. Qudus Wahab ($7,000) is too expensive to consider against Colorado as the Buffs interior defense is stout despite not having an elite post player. Jamorko Pickett ($6,800) could make some sense as he remains underpriced based on his historical rates, but the presence of Bile has dropped his shot rate a little bit and his rebounding rate and he is no longer the 20-point floor guy – we are now looking at a 15 to 40 point range which is more applicable for this price point. Jahvon Blair ($6,300) and Dante Harris ($5,200) are splitting time running the point, and in the past few games their usage rates have been almost equal – I would use Harris here who is cheaper and has been starting, but I do not really want to use anyone in this spot. I do not like this Georgetown team too much here as I like Colorado in this spot so will likely be light on Hoyas in my lineups.
