CBB Slate Breakdown: March 6th

What a slate. We have some of the best offensive teams on this slate and not a lot of defense. There are some really attractive games to target here, so keep an open mind when making lineups – I would imagine the top scores in GPPs are going to be larger than we usually see here.

Florida State (81), Tempo: 69

Leonard Hamilton used Senior Night to play 15 players in the last game against Boston College (the blowout did not hurt either), and the most any regular player played was Anthony Polite at 25 minutes. Polite hit 32 FP, but he is not usually a high fantasy point per minute guy so even with the lower price point here I am not too interested despite the solid projection. I am actually not interested in anyone but Scottie Barnes ($6,500) who is one of the best point per minute producers in the nation. Barnes apparently has been battling tonsilitis, but I am not sure that is what is keeping his minutes down – it is likely just Leonard Hamilton. The good thing is that Barnes can hit 35 FP while only playing 20 minutes, so even though he is a little bit capped I think he is still an option in GPPs as this is a close game and he might get a few extra ticks if this one is close late. Raiquan Gray is just too expensive, and MJ Walker does not do enough peripherally. If you wanted to really risk it, Balsa Koprivica ($5,300) has a great projection and dominates teams with weak interiors – Notre Dame fits the bill there. He should have his way with Durham inside, but don’t expect him to play more than 23 minutes, it’s just not happening. There are a TON of good plays on this slate – even though we are looking at an 81 implied total, I do not think we need to force Seminoles today.
