Alabama struggling against FSU was another reminder of how week-to-week college football can be. Our perception of a team or defense can change in a hurry, and this weekend, even Vegas is telling us not to get too comfortable with what we think we know. Ole Miss is the perfect example. The Rebels just beat LSU, took down their former head coach, and now find themselves as underdogs against a Florida team that just entered the rankings. That’s what makes this sport so much fun, and it creates some really interesting spots to attack on this slate.

WR pricing is better than it was last weekend, but there are still several high-usage players under $6,000 who deserve more love. RB is a completely different story. Outside of Jadan Baugh, the position is pretty uninspiring, and figuring out which backs can actually deliver a ceiling performance will be one of the biggest decisions of the weekend.

I think this slate is going to come down to getting RB right and finding the right four-WR builds. There are several QBs capable of carrying their receivers to massive performances, and I want to take advantage of those passing-game correlations rather than forcing my way into RBs I don’t love.

CFB DFS DraftKings Picks: Top Stacks, RBs, & WRs for Week 4

There are a lot of teams on this slate that trust their cornerbacks to play man-to-man coverage, including Utah, UCLA, Michigan, and Georgia. Three of these teams have been elite in the secondary, while UCLA has really struggled. That makes UCLA one of my favorite teams to attack with stacks this weekend.

There are also several zone-heavy defenses on this slate, particularly Wake Forest and Iowa, that prioritize limiting explosive plays. These teams want to keep everything in front of them and force offenses to drive the length of the field. That can lead to shorter games with fewer possessions, and sustained drives that end in field goals can really hurt the scoring potential of those matchups.

Iowa’s two-high rate is absolutely insane, but that’s who they are as a team. It showcases their commitment to keeping everything in front of them and limiting explosive plays. Tennessee’s two-high usage could get them into trouble in this matchup because I believe Texas will do everything it can to establish the run.

Purdue is once again one of the worst defenses in the country, and Notre Dame’s offense should smash in this spot. UCF and TCU have both been really solid defensively, so that matchup will come down to whether the offensive lines can hold up, create running lanes for the RBs, and give their QBs enough time to throw.

Game Stacks

Malik Washington ($7,200, QB, Maryland)

Chris Durr Jr. ($7,100, WR, Maryland) AND/OR Na’eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding ($5,300, WR, Maryland)

Nico Iamaleava ($7,500, QB, UCLA)

Brian Rowe Jr. ($4,700, WR, UCLA)

When Maryland has faced man coverage, Washington has targeted two primary WRs, and both have put up huge numbers: Chris Durr Jr. and Na’eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding. They are awesome plays this weekend, and the decision mainly comes down to whether you need the salary savings to get up to some of the top-tier options on the slate.

Maryland is awful on the boundary and isn’t built to rush the passer. Those weaknesses play directly into Iamaleava’s rushing ability and his opportunities to attack downfield with Brian Rowe Jr. This is the best environment for a shootout on the slate in my opinion. It’s my favorite game to stack with both QBs, and I also love mini-stacking it with several of the other options I discuss below.
