CFB DFS DraftKings Main Slate Breakdown: Week 7

Using his experience as a former scout and staff member at Central Florida under Josh Heupel, Jordan Vanek takes an in-depth look at the upcoming CFB DFS main slate on DraftKings for Week 7. Winner of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association’s 2025 College Sports Writer of the Year award, Jordan’s deep dive into the best stacks, running backs, and wide receivers is a must-read before you start building your lineups.
There are a ton of injuries to monitor that could swing the slate this weekend, and getting those situations right will be one of the biggest keys to success. For example, Alabama losing Ryan Coleman-Williams could condense the WR room and create some great value plays.
The star power on this slate is the best we’ve had all season, with some of the top teams in the country squaring off. That gives us several elite QBs capable of breaking the slate, including Keelon Russell, Sam Leavitt, and Trinidad Chambliss.
At RB, this is the most value we’ve had at the position all year, with some massive discounts on players capable of putting up 30-point performances in these matchups. The chalk is very strong here, and figuring out how to approach it will be important when constructing our lineups.
We don’t have the same obvious WR chalk that we had last week with Mizell, but as always, there are plenty of cheap WRs who can help us fit the studs into our lineups while keeping our builds correlated.
As always, our CFB DFS projections will be updated throughout Saturday’s slate with any news that comes out. Our projections team will also be posting real-time updates in the RotoGrinders Discord, letting you know what news came in and how it impacted the projections.
CFB DFS DraftKings Picks: Top Stacks, RBs, & WRs for Week 7

Zone coverage is Indiana’s identity, and I don’t expect them to get creative against Ohio State. They’ll likely pay more attention to Jeremiah Smith, but I don’t expect a significant change in their defensive structure. Other teams that play a lot of zone coverage include Tennessee, Duke, Arizona State, Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, Texas, Florida, Missouri, and Virginia Tech.
The man-heavier defenses are Kansas State, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio State, North Carolina, and Penn State. There aren’t many teams running a ton of pure man coverage anymore, but there are still a few on this slate. Most defenses are leaning more toward man-match concepts rather than playing straight man coverage.

There are a few teams on this slate that play single-high coverage at a high rate, with Florida, Missouri, and SMU standing out. I think this will be an issue for Florida this weekend, while Missouri has been excellent running these coverages all season.
On the two-high side, Arizona State is on a different planet with how frequently it uses these coverages, while Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, and Penn State aren’t far behind. The goal is to keep everything underneath and limit explosive plays. For Arizona State, the biggest question this weekend is whether it can stop the run.
Game Stacks
Arch Manning ($6,900, QB, Texas)
Cam Coleman ($6,700, WR, Texas)
Dallas Wilson ($6,400, WR, Florida)

Florida hasn’t held an SEC QB under 7.5 yards per attempt all season. Arch Manning’s turnovers have been inexcusable, but his yards per attempt have been great over the last two weeks, and throwing for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns against Oklahoma is encouraging. If Arch is going to have a big game, he’ll need to do it against single-high coverage, and that’s where Cam Coleman stands out more than anyone else. Coleman is the big-play threat on the boundary, making this a pretty simple stack to target.

I’m not going to force a bring-back player here, but whether Texas builds a big lead or falls behind, I think Dallas Wilson could be a big part of the game script. Wilson had 6 receptions for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first game against Texas last season. Texas will play a ton of single-high coverage to stop Jadan Baugh, which should leave Wilson isolated on the outside. Wilson could also benefit from Tramell Jones starting at QB, as Jones has a bigger arm than Stockton and could funnel more targets his way. Given his cheap salary, Jones is also someone to consider if Aaron Philo misses the game.
