What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play this week? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I’ll be playing both large-field and small-field contests, given that it’s one of the last CFB slates of the season. That said, with only 3 games and these particular matchups, my preference leans toward smaller fields that have limited entries. I’m not entirely sure where the chalk is going to come from – if there’s any true chalk at all – since I don’t see any individual player as a clear standout and there don’t appear to be any egregious pricing errors. Because of that, in multi-entry tournaments, I like spreading my exposure out a bit. Otherwise, I think there’s a real chance Oregon can hit some big plays and turn the ORE/TTU game into one that can win tournaments.

MrTuttle05: Large-field tournaments – I’ll be keeping a more concentrated player pool than on a typical CFB slate. Teams tighten their player rotations dramatically for the playoffs, and as a result, I’ll be trimming out some lower-end RBs/WRs that I might’ve otherwise considered.

stlcardinals84: With only 3 games, I’ll be sprinkling a handful of entries into the larger-field tournaments. I plan to be overweight on Indiana and underweight on Alabama, as I expect Indiana to control this game with their rushing attack in weather that is projected to be sloppy. Both Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black will be key pieces of my builds, and I will have very little exposure to anyone from Alabama.

Jordan Vanek: I am going to max out the main tournament on DraftKings with $100,000 at the top. I plan on being overweight on the Texas Tech passing game, the Alabama running game, and avoiding a lot of Ole Miss. Against Tulane, Ole Miss key players got banged up, and Kewan Lacy especially is someone I don’t believe is a full go. Lacy hurt his shoulder, and it’s impossible to protect yourself as an RB with a bad shoulder.

What is your favorite correlation and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
