CFB DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Week 1 Picks

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Byrum Brown
stlcardinals84: Nate Sheppard (FD) / Cam Cook (DK)
Jordan Vanek: Jeremiah Smith

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: Just like in Week 0, we got some answers right, but we were way off on others. You have to embrace the variance because you really don’t know the actual pecking order for some of these running backs and wide receivers. I want to target teams with high team totals and mix and match those skill players across various rosters to see if I can get lucky and piece it all together in one strong lineup. This is definitely a two-QB lineup week, as it usually is, but there are a few exceptions. I also think it’s a week where you can stack those top QBs with WRs, as I expect most of these teams to get their QB into a passing rhythm and save the run game for tighter spreads later in the month.

stlcardinals84: I am going to be a little more cautious with my play this week, as this is a difficult slate to pin down due to uncertain depth charts and massive spreads. However, I plan to make sure I am overweight on the skill players from two offenses for certain, Auburn and Houston. I will also be overweight on West Virginia on DK, and I think DJ Epps is a very intriguing pivot away from a likely chalky Cam Cook.

Jordan Vanek: The first thing I’m going to do is throw out what happened last year, which I don’t think the field will do early in the season. Ryan Coleman-Williams stands out for exactly that reason. He went from a freshman phenom to struggling in his sophomore season, but I fully believe in a bounce-back. Coleman-Williams is moving back to his natural position, and I expect a massive performance against ECU. Paying up at WR won’t be common this week with all the expensive QBs and RBs getting attention, which makes him even more appealing.

What is your favorite correlation and why?
