CFB DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Week 10 Picks

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Conner Weigman (FD) / Caleb Hawkins (DK)
MrTuttle05: Conner Weigman (FD) / Caleb Hawkins (DK)
stlcardinals84: Conner Weigman (FD) / Caleb Hawkins (DK)
Jordan Vanek: Nate Sheppard (FD) / Caleb Hawkins (DK)

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: There are a lot of injuries, and my plan is to take advantage of them because I don’t think the projected ownership is fully reflecting just how valuable some of these backups can be. I’m going to target spots where starters have been ruled out and attack tournaments with some of their replacements. I’ll also be keeping a close eye on our Discord and all the available resources because I think we’re going to get more injury news as we get closer to lock that we can use to our advantage. I also want to factor in coaching changes, like Oklahoma firing its offensive coordinator, and see if I can find some Oklahoma players with low pOWN% who might get a boost with a new play-caller running the offense.

MrTuttle05: I’m eating the cheap chalk at one QB spot on each site: Nicco Marchiol on FD and Blake Barnett on DK. Where I’ll look to differentiate is at that second QB spot with options like Keelon Russell and Devon Dampier at sub-5% pOWN%.

stlcardinals84: I love going cheap at quarterback this week. There are obvious choices on DK, and you can even use the Blake Barnett + Tait Reynolds pairing to free up all the salary in the world for the running back and wide receiver spots. It’s a little tougher on FD, but Reynolds is still a solid value there. While Barnett will be popular, the double-cheap QB build almost never becomes massive chalk, as many DFS players really want to pay up for at least one quarterback. I will be overweight on most of the spendy running back options.

Jordan Vanek: At every position, there are a few players with low pOWN% that I really like, and I plan to get at least two of them into every build. At QB, Keelon Russell, JC French IV, and Conner Weigman are my favorites. At RB, Dilin Jones stands out the most, with Chris Johnson being a deeper option I prefer over Jarvis Green. At WR, Lotzeir Brooks, Justin Bowick, Patrick Overmyer, Legend Glasker, Calvin Russell III, and a few others stand out as great plays who I believe are being overlooked. A lot of chalk is usually good chalk, but one popular spot I’m fading is the South Carolina offense as a whole. I think they’ll underperform relative to expectations, and I’m comfortable taking that stand while getting exposure to some of these other options.

What is your favorite correlation and why?
