CFB DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Week 6 Picks

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Jamal Roberts
MrTuttle05: Jamal Roberts
stlcardinals84: Jeremiah Smith (FD) / Jamal Roberts (DK)
Jordan Vanek: Jeremiah Smith (FD) / Caleb Hawkins (DK)

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: The chalk hits at an alarmingly high rate in CFB these days, so I plan to embrace it. Most of that chalk comes from WRs and RBs, so I’ll play those guys, probably be overweight compared to the field, and try to find some good QB/WR stacks that are shaping up to low owned. I’ll pair several of those stacks with the chalk and see if one of them can pop off for a big game.

MrTuttle05: I’ll differentiate at RB. There’s going to be some heavy concentration at the RB position. While guys like Jamal Roberts are undoubtedly excellent plays, RB stands out as a spot to get a little different to flip lineup construction a bit.

stlcardinals84: This is a fascinating slate and one of the rare slates this season where it feels like the dominant chalk might not be the right path. That’s not because it’s “bad chalk,” but because there are a lot of pivots with similar upside across the many high-total games. I plan to be most overweight on the cheap value plays from Pittsburgh and the expensive plays from Ohio State (on FD) and Missouri (on DK).

Jordan Vanek: This slate has a lot of fun coverages: man-heavy blitz teams, two-high shells that still give up explosive plays, and single-high defenses that can’t execute it. Most of the field will chase game totals and stack the highest over/unders. I’ll take the quarterback/receiver pairings where the offense’s strengths directly attack the specific coverage the defense leans on, even in games the total says to ignore. Noah Fifita and Isaiah Mizell against West Virginia’s zone looks is the cleanest example. That’s where I think the edge is – the same salary gets you a better matchup at lower projected ownership.

What is your favorite correlation and why?
