CFB DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Week 9 Picks

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Devon Dampier (FD) / Carlos Hernandez (DK)
MrTuttle05: Caleb Hawkins (FD) / Wayshawn Parker (DK)
stlcardinals84: Wayshawn Parker
Jordan Vanek: Caleb Hawkins (FD) / Kendrick Raphael (DK)

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I think I’m going to be underweight on the heavy chalk pieces that are priced way up, like the Utah guys and Kendrick Raphael from SMU, just to name a few. If your price tag is above $7,500 and you’re drawing that much pOWN%, I think you’re very fadeable. I don’t mind the cheaper chalk like Makhi Frazier from Mississippi, and with such a lack of value, I’ll probably be overweight on a guy like that. But with the overall shortage of salary-saving options, this feels like a good weekend to go with a very balanced build.

MrTuttle05: I’ll have very little exposure to the premium WR tier. This is a scarier stance on FanDuel, where Malachi Toney is on the main slate. I think that will be the common construction this week, so I’ll make sure to spread out my exposure to cheap WRs and avoid getting too concentrated on likely heavy chalk.

stlcardinals84: I want to be overweight on the Ole Miss offense. They have underperformed a bit in recent weeks, which has ownership dropping quite a bit. Kewan Lacy is out this week, so we have value available with Makhi Frazier at running back. Trinidad Chambliss still has a ton of upside and is capable of being the top quarterback on the board. With Ole Miss projected for over 30 points, this is a great week to jump in.

Jordan Vanek: The starting point for me on both sites is figuring out how to handle Wayshawn Parker. There’s no question his workload has been awesome. He’s seen at least 10 rushing attempts and 4 targets in every game this season, with two performances of over 200 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdowns. The problem is that Cincinnati hasn’t allowed a single RB to rush for over 100 yards this season, and they’ve faced some pretty good ones, including Cam Cook, J’Koby Williams, and the Kansas State backfield. I actually love the idea of fading Parker on DraftKings and betting on Devon Dampier to do more damage through the air. On FanDuel, I think there are better options at RB who come at significantly cheaper prices.

What is your favorite correlation and why?
