USF
Elite Plays
Quinton Flowers ($5,700) – This is a pretty big mistake in pricing here as this DK-only game has Quinton Flowers at $5,700. Flowers has provided some insane value games this year, including a 45-fantasy point game with 200 rushing yards two weeks ago. East Carolina has a terrible defense, and while their rush defense is not Fresno State bad, there will be room to run for Flowers. He was hampered by an injury last week against Navy, but appears to be good to go against an ECU team who gives up yards willy nilly. I am hoping a lot of people will not realize how cheap Flowers is and pass him over, but on a 2-QB site like DK, he can really allow you to grab some of the other playmakers.
Secondary Plays
Marlon Mack ($5,500) – After allowing Flowers to do all of the rushing two weeks ago, Mack is back and should carry the ball 20 times again in this very run-based offense. Mack is a stud who was a workhorse last year, and is too cheap at $5,500. I am expecting USF to have a lot of room to run against a poor ECU defense, and while I like Flowers for the QB punt better, you certainly cannot go wrong with a back in Mack who is back in black, or green and gold.
ECU
Elite Plays
None – I am surprised at this, but yes, I would not consider any ECU guys here great plays. My go-to, Isaiah Jones, has now reached $6,300 and the QB situation is still a mess. Hairston is not a great RB and the other WRs are just too inconsistent to really like. Plus, USF’s defense is actually fairly solid and despite a nice over/under here, and I think there are better options to target.
Secondary Plays
Isaiah Jones ($6,300) – Jones is a great PPR play here, but I hate the fact that his salary has jumped to $6,300. I like Lawler more but with Kemp starting, I expect to see a heavy dose of Isaiah. This passing offense has actually been fairly disappointing this year (poor Benkert), but we could catch value if Jones is able to score in this one.
