CFB Slate Breakdown: Week 1, September 5th

Wow, what a year it has been since LSU won the national title, and at one point it looked like we wouldn’t be here at all. It looked just a short month ago like we might not get college football, but now it seems to be trending in a good direction for both college football and basketball. It’s likely that we are going to have to monitor for COVID before each week as it’s almost certain there will be positives with all of the teams playing, but that probably just creates more of an edge if we know exactly who is going to step up in the absence of a certain player. Anyway, we have a six-game slate for this Saturday so let’s get right into it.

This article is likely to evolve during the season with different stats and tables to preview the games, however I thought this was the most efficient way to disseminate the information concisely for the first week – the depth chart is likely to go away as we know more about the teams, and it will be replaced with stats and data as we get more.
