CFB Slate Breakdown: Week 2, September 12th

Week one did not go as planned, and that is an understatement. I think it goes to show just how random the sport can be – we all look at certain situations in CFB and think that we can know exactly what will happen because of usage, but a lot of times, things happen randomly (especially in the first couple of weeks before we really know any sort of usage) and it is most times better just to fade the consensus great plays in GPPs and go with some high upside gambles if you want to take down some of the bigger tournaments. Even a guy like Brenden Knox last week, who had one of the safest floors on the board, basically hit his floor and was not required to win GPPs. Anyway, we have a similar situation this week – we have seen a couple of these teams, but there are plenty of new teams to try to find some leverage on in GPPs.

We have a seven-game slate which was trimmed by one due to COVID, so let us get right into it.

This article is likely to evolve during the season with different stats and tables to preview the games, however I thought this was the most efficient way to disseminate the information concisely for the first week – the depth chart is likely to go away as we know more about the teams, and it will be replaced with stats and data as we get more.
