CFB Slate Breakdown: Week 3, September 19th
Welcome back, CFB Grinders! Varncass is out this week to tend to a personal family matter, so four of us decided to pitch in and write a few games each as a break down for this Saturday’s slate. Enjoy!
Tulsa (22) vs Oklahoma State (43) -21.5
Oklahoma State
Let’s start with the obvious. Chubba Hubbard (8.5K) is good. REALLY good. You should play him in DFS. This kid has 100 yard rushing games in 11 straight & 15 of his past 17 games. I was prepared to see his salary around 10K so I think he’s still a price per point steal at this number. Any cash game he needs to be locked in & I don’t think you are doing it wrong by locking him in most or all of your GPP lineups with underpriced QB options on the board. Oh…by the way he went 32-237-3 in this matchup a year ago. Spencer Sanders (7.6K) came in with a ton of hype out of high school and never really lived up to it in year one. He was a big time dual thread in HS so he profiles as a guy who should have a big ceiling. The price probably keeps him off cash builds, but still squarely in play with a team total over 40 points & the game just close enough that he should play four quarters. Cowboys return a loaded WR corps led by star Tylan Wallace (7.7K) who had 900 yards receiving an 8 TD’s before season ending injury a year ago. That injury worries me a bit and the competition for targets with veterans Dylan Stoner (5.8K), Braydon Johnson (4.7K) & Washington State transfer Tay Martin (4.2K) who Gundy said would receive “extensive” snaps this game. All make great stacking options & Martin may be an under the radar value play but definitely carries some risk.
