CFB Slate Breakdown: Week 7, October 17th

We have lost two games to COVID-19 this week so far, and I hope more are not cancelled by Saturday, but it looks like the SEC games are in a bit of danger. The good thing is that it seems like the decisions to cancel the games are happening earlier in the week and we have not had a Saturday cancellation.

Last week ended up being kind of difficult, because popular play Jake Smith just did not play, and Brennan Armstrong who was widely regarded as one of the top QB plays on the slate was awful, then got injured and got a nice negative score. It essentially ended up being if you stacked the Texas/Oklahoma game with Ehlinger and did not use too much Smith, you probably did quite well. You can continuously do well playing only the three or four highest scoring players on the slate while getting peanuts from your other spots – the thing is, you cannot just punt off those spots though because we need as many shots as we can at the top 5 scores.
