Ladies and Gentlemen, we made it! It is the final day of the 2022 MLB Regular Season and the Final Musings for the year. I limped to the finish with covid finally smacking me in the face after 2+ years of hiding in the basement, speaking of which, how did I get this if I still haven’t left the house? Anyhow, we made it!
I applaud the effort by MLB to schedule every team with a game at the same starting time on the final day of the season, but as it turns out, this is the one year when we didn’t need that, with all the playoff spots already being filled. This leaves us with a very scattered, muddled slate with a ton of question marks. I’ll do my best here, but quite officially, all we really end up with is two pitchers and then dart throwing at stacks.
A sincere thanks to all of you for following along this season and reading my nonsense, putting up with some terrible puns, and hopefully a few good ones. Be well, and spring will be here soon enough!
Pitching For The Finish Line
The pitching dries up in a hurry on this slate. I’ve got two small tiers of primary options that turn quickly into a narrow pool.
The Four Aces
Shohei Ohtani at A’s
Framber Valdez vs Phillies
Corbin Burnes vs Diamondbacks
Clayton Kershaw vs Rockies
