CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Friday, September 17th

Happy Friday! We’ve got a full 15-game slate tonight with a very muddled bunch of similar total games. There are several aces, but the bulk of the pitchers are of the good, but not elite variety that leave the offenses all stuck in limbo. After breaking everything down, I was able to end up with a more narrowed down pitcher pool than I expected, while remaining spread out far on offense. This slate is jumbled enough on both sides where you could easily come to a very different conclusion or primary list than what I have.

Friday Night Pitching

Well, yikes! At first glance, I can make at least some sort of case for 20+ pitchers on this slate. We will very quickly run into a situation here where there is no real reason to separate dozens of these options from each other. I’ll give you some favorites in different price ranges, but you can spread out extremely wide in tournaments tonight. Even trying to sort this many pitchers into tiers is pretty silly, but here’s a bird’s eye view of what we’re looking at tonight.

ACES OR CLOSE TO IT

Chris Sale vs Orioles
Zack Wheeler at Mets
Walker Buehler at Reds
Dylan Cease at Rangers
Luis Castillo vs Dodgers
Logan Webb vs Braves

(maybe Shohei Ohtani ? vs A’s or Lance McCullers vs Diamondbacks) – Assuming these guys don’t pitch tonight, will update later if they do.

ACE UPSIDE OR MATCHUP AIDED

Ian Anderson at Giants
Luis Patino vs Tigers
Josiah Gray vs Rockies
Corey Kluber vs Indians
German Marquez at Nationals
Elieser Hernandez vs Pirates
Adrian Houser vs Cubs
Taijuan Walker vs Phillies
Cole Irvin at Angels

CHEAP NONSENSE

Wil Crowe at Marlins
Brady Singer vs Mariners
