Happy Thursday! We’ve got a split slate kind of day with an early 4-gamer starting at 12:35pm ET, followed by a main slate that has a 30-minute gap in start time between the sites. DK is running a 5-gamer starting at 7:10, while FD’s main slate adds an extra game and starts at 6:40. I’ll go ahead and buzz the tower quickly on this early slate in order to get it out early and then we’ll do another fly by later with the evening games added in.
Early Slate Pitching
Wowzers, this is a lot of great pitching for a small slate. Most full slates don’t even have this many top tier options. Seven of the eight starters are very playable here, and even the last guy on the board is not nearly one of the worst pitchers in the league. I’ll separate it into three groups, looking like this:
Three Aces
Corbin Burnes vs Phillies
Shane McClanahan vs Cardinals
Dylan Cease vs Dodgers
Four Good Pitchers
Tyler Mahle vs Diamondbacks
Tyler Anderson at White Sox
Zach Eflin at Brewers
Miles Mikolas at Rays
Cheap Nonsense
Zach Davies at Reds
Three Aces Are Really Two
