Happy Wednesday! We get to make up for the ridiculous Tuesday pitching slate with two ace filled slates today. I’ll focus on the 8-game main slate at the usual 7:05pm ET start time, but let’s take a quick peek at the early 4-gamer that starts at 1:10pm.
Wednesday Early Pitching
One Ace And Another Ace
Corbin Burnes vs Cubs – 31.8% K, 6.4% BB, 2.36 ERA, 2.82 SIERA
Shane Bieber at Tigers – 25.3% K, 6% BB, 3.16 ERA, 3.43 SIERA
Three More Almost Aces
Joe Ryan at White Sox – 22.5% K, 6.7% BB, 3.00 ERA, 4.20 SIERA
Jose Berrios at A’s – 18.3% K, 6% BB, 5.72 ERA, 4.31 SIERA
Lance Lynn vs Twins – 22.9% K, 5.2% BB, 4.50 ERA, 3.62 SIERA

Ryan, Berrios and Lynn are all solid pitchers, but let’s not pretend like they match up Corbin Burnes, or that they match up to Shane Bieber with this matchup factored in. Burnes and Bieber have both been just slightly wonky enough recently that I wouldn’t say you just have to play them both here, but I would absolutely play at least one of them in every DK lineup if possible. Even with the Bieber matchup against the Tigers, I prefer spending up to Burnes but it’s enough discount that I won’t force a lock button here. FD has a bigger gap with Burnes up over $11k, but he’s still not that tough to fit it. Burnes’ upside is the highest in any matchup, and this is a strikeout matchup that is as good as what Bieber is getting.
