CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Monday, April 12th
Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. My day off yesterday was filled with popcorn, which is always a glorious kind of day. I saw a movie where Saul Goodman beat up a bunch of dudes, and that is always fun. I will also say that while I don’t know anything about golf, and have close to no interest in it, if someone asked me to name five golfers, Matsuyama would be one of them. The clip on twitter of him with his arms in the air and that huge smile made me happy. Green looks good on him!
If you played MLB DFS yesterday, you had to deal with a horrendous pitching slate, to the point that getting a one-out rainout from Marcus Stroman was plenty enough to win. Thankfully, we’re back to the top of the rotation with a few teams, and we’re also already starting to get the schedules broken up to the point where it’s not all aces or all #4-5 starters on every slate. Let’s jump on in and see what we find.
Monday Night Pitching
We’ve got some big separation between the top pitchers and the rest of the field tonight. I see four pitchers that are the clear starting points tonight:
Two Super Aces
Gerrit Cole at Toronto
Tyler Glasnow vs Texas
A Real-Life Ace And Some Strikeout Upside
Zack Greinke vs Detroit
Freddy Peralta vs Chicago Cubs
After those four, we have a whole handful of guys with some upside or some positive matchups that make them viable, but clearly outside of that top four:
Carlos Rodon vs Cleveland
Robbie Ray vs NY Yankees
Triston McKenzie at Chicago White Sox
Wade Miley at San Francisco
Madison Bumgarner vs Oakland
Brady Singer vs LA Angels
Justus Sheffield at Baltimore
Dane Dunning at TB Rays
Sandy Alcantara at Atlanta
Huascar Ynoa vs Miami
John Gant vs Washington
Chase Anderson at NY Mets
Dean Kremer vs Seattle
David Peterson vs Philadelphia
Casey Mize at Houston
Adbert Alzolay at Milwaukee
