CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Monday, August 2nd

Happy Monday, Happy August, Happy Day! We open this week with a small seven-game slate that lacks much excitement on either side. We’re ace-less on the pitching side, but still left with only a couple offenses that look to be in ideal spots. We’ve also a new Single-Entry Series starting on FanDuel at a $5 entry, so be sure to jump in that if you play on FD. Without further ado, let’s jump in and see if we can find anything to get excited about. If not, there’s always lunch!

Monday Night Pitching

This is a weak enough slate to spread out as far as you want, but I’ve cut my list to eight options to kick things off. This is what that group looks like with their 2021 stats:

Tylor Megill at Marlins – 27.1% K, 7.6% BB, 2.04 ERA, 3.77 SIERA
Andrew Heaney vs Orioles – 28.2% K, 7.7% BB, 5.27 ERA, 3.72 SIERA
Anthony Desclafani at Diamondbacks – 23.3% K, 6.6% BB, 3.10 ERA, 4.04 SIERA
Eric Lauer vs Pirates – 23.4% K, 9.5% BB, 3.78 ERA, 4.36 SIERA
Josiah Gray vs Phillies – only 8 IP
Michael Wacha vs Mariners – 22.1% K, 6.4% BB, 4.79 ERA, 4.13 SIERA
Dane Dunning vs Angels – 23.4% K, 8.1% BB, 4.20 ERA, 3.95 SIERA
Jose Suarez at Rangers – 21.8% K, 9.6% BB, 3.45 ERA, 4.15 SIERA
