CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Monday, May 3rd

Happy Monday! We’ve got a nice looking 10-game slate on tap, however, the early morning forecast looks dicey in several of these games, including one of the key pitcher matchups as well as Coors Field. We’ll need to keep an eye on Roth’s report. I’ll be on Crunchtime at 6:30pm ET to get any final word on how the weather will affect these games.

We start with a talented, but tricky top four:

Tyler Glasnow at LA Angels
Walker Buehler at Chicago Cubs
Shohei Ohtani vs Tampa Bay
Kenta Maeda vs Texas

Tyler Glasnow is the standout ace here and he’s separated himself even further from the pack this season. A 39.2% K rate through six starts has come with improved control down to 7.7% walks. He’s struck out 10+ in three of his last four outings and has gone seven innings in two of them, with at least six full innings in five of his six starts. The only question mark here is with the matchup.
