CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Saturday, April 10th
Happy Split-Slate Saturday! We’ve got five early games and then a six-game main slate later this evening. I’m going to take a quick Cliff Notey look at the early slate, and will try not to get too wordy so we can get right to work on these lineups before the 1:10 ET start time. Then I’ll be back a little later with analysis on the evening slate.
Early Slate Pitching
It’s not quite as ridiculous as last time Jacob deGrom pitched, but it’s still deGrom all alone at the top and then a huge gap to the next tier of pitchers. If you’re playing cash games today, there is zero case to be made to fade deGrom on DK. On FD, you could argue it’s not 100% necessary, but as we’ve seen, the hitting is just too cheap to overthink it.
After we get past the obvious best pitcher, this is what we’re looking at in Tier Two:
Michael Pineda vs Mariners
Carlos Martinez vs Brewers
Yusei Kikuchi at Twins
Trevor Rogers at Mets
Domingo German at Rays
Mike Minor at White Sox
Dylan Cease vs Royals
Adrian Houser at Cardinals
Chris Archer vs Yankees
