CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Saturday, September 18th

Happy Saturday! Cards is hammering out college football content this morning, so you’re stuck with me for this Saturday MLB slate. Both DK and FD have the same 8-game main slate to focus tonight. I’ll also take a quick look at the early 6-game slate on DK that starts at 1:05pm ET. FD has split up all the early games into three small slates, and I’m not going to be messing with those, but most of the DK content will carry over.

DK Early Slate Pitching

We’ve got one ace on this early slate with Max Scherzer standing heads and shoulders above the field. At $10,700 and with no one else being necessary to spend up on, this is a don’t overthink it. Sure, the matchup isn’t ideal, but he is simply on another level with a 49:2 K:BB ratio in his last five starts.

SP2 has more options to consider among this group:

Ryan Yarbrough vs Tigers
Nick Pivetta vs Orioles
Sonny Gray vs Dodgers
Steven Matz vs Twins
Luis Gil vs Indians
Patrick Corbin vs Rockies
Kyle Freeland at Nationals
