CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Thursday, August 5th
Happy Thursday! We’ve got baseball all day long with games spread throughout the afternoon and evening. The focus will be the six-game main slate that starts at the usual 7:05pm ET. I’ll start with a quick cliff noted look at the early slates, which are different by site. DK is running a 5-game early slate at 1:10pm ET, while FD is split into two smaller 3-game slates, one at 12:10 and one at 3:10. In general, I am not a fan of these small slates that include Coors Field games and that is especially true today with the lack of other strong offense. But, that doesn’t mean I won’t be playing a little day baseball anyway!
DK Early Slate Cliff Notes
This 5-game DK slate is basically Aaron Nola and Coors Field. The secondary offenses that can compete with Coors are the Red Sox and maybe the Giants, Angels, Rangers, Tigers and Phillies. On the pitching side, this is what we have to add to Nola today:
