CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Thursday, September 9th

Happy Thursday! With the NFL kicking off tonight, we have a whittled down day for MLB. DK is starting their main slate at 6:40pm ET to include a 5th game, while FD has a 4-gamer at the usual 7:05 start time. The tournament sizes are a little smaller than usual as well with everyone clamoring to be a part of that 2,584-way tie for a million tonight.

It’s a very spread out slate with a whole bunch of pretty good pitchers, but no true aces. This leads to good, but not great options on both the pitching and hitting sides. Let’s dig in and see what we find.

The difference between FD and DK is sizeable on the pitching front with the Mets-Marlins game being the additional game on DK. That gives us the likely SP1 with Marcus Stroman and a strong SP2 option with Jesus Luzardo. On FD, without those two, it’s guys like Ranger Suarez, John Means, Jose Berrios and Huascar Ynoa fighting for top billing.
