CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Tuesday, April 20th

Happy Tuesday! We’ve got a doozy of a day with different sized slates starting at different times, in addition to a lack of reliable pitching and an Astros trip to Coors Field with question marks surrounding the lineup.

DraftKings is running a 13-game main slate starting at 6:30pm ET, so make sure you’re ready to go earlier than normal tonight. On FanDuel, the four early games starting at 6:35 ET are on one mini slate, with their main slate starting at the usual 7:05pm with eight games. Yahoo’s main slate is those same eight games at 7:05pm.

I’m going to talk about all 13 games, but will note where changes happen between the sites, and then clear it all up in the Cliff Notes.

Tuesday Night Pitching

It doesn’t take long to run into trouble on this slate. There are some good pitchers, but they come with either questions about their start to the season, or questions about their matchups. We’re also going to look at pitchers in the Arizona-Cincinnati game, which has some weather concerns. For now, I’m just viewing this game as if it will play a least long enough to be OK for pitchers, but we’re going to need to tune into Crunchtime before locking anything there.

I am going to start by looking at a few pitchers who are priced down based on their long-term skills, but have had issues to open this season that explain the lower salaries.
