CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Tuesday, July 6th
Happy Tuesday! We’ve got a whopper of a slate tonight with 14 games on the schedule. We’ve already lost a dome game to weather, just in case you weren’t sure that anything can happen! There isn’t too much else to be worried about, except the game with the most weather concern has Carlos Rodon vs Jose Berrios, so it could affect the pitching plans. I’ll also mention there is at least some pregame rain for Jacob deGrom as well, so this while it should be OK, this is definitely a tune into Crunchtime before lock kind of night.
Tuesday Night Pitching
Well folks, this is going to be one of those slates where you could make a case for almost every pitcher on the board if you wanted to. We do have a very clear top tier, but then it gets tricky in a hurry. There are at least 15 pitchers who deserve to be mentioned, but I’m going to cut a lot of them from my pool immediately based on salary, matchup, or inability to swim. This is what the birds eye view looks like:
Three Aces (Well, One deGrom and Two Aces)
Jacob deGrom vs Brewers
Carlos Rodon at Twins
Aaron Nola at Cubs
