CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Wednesday, August 25th
Happy Wednesday! The offenses came to life last night, while the pitching had some trouble keeping up. It’s a similar look to the slate tonight where we have plenty of aces, but they are all facing good offenses, so the choices are not cut and dried. It looks like there shouldn’t be any weather issues on the main slate tonight, so let’s jump on in and see what happens.
Wednesday Night Pitching
Wow, this is a lot of aces. The matchups are tough for most of these guys, but just based on skill level, this is one of the strongest pitching slates we’ve had in months.

HOW TO CHOOSE BETWEEN ALL THESE ACES

Let’s start with this. The better the pitcher, the less the matchup matters. Of course, matchup absolutely matters, but when we start getting up this level of aces, these guys can all have big starts in any matchup. I will say right off the top that in MME, I cannot make any case to go vastly overweight or underweight on any of these eight aces. But in attempting to narrow down somewhat, I am not going to be using salary as a deciding factor, at least on DK. This is essentially a Blake Snell Rule for today. If we get the good Snell and he strikes out a dozen batters, he wins. If we get the bad Snell, and the Dodgers light him up, it doesn’t matter at all that he was cheaper than the rest of these guys. You’ve lost. That $2,000 does you no good at all.
