CheeseIsGood's Million Dollar Musings: Wednesday, June 2nd
Happy Wednesday! We saw a lot of big scores last night, some of them from expected places, and some completely unexpected. We’ve got eight games tonight, and there’s enough beatable pitching to hope we see some more fireworks. There is a 3 or 4-game early slate, but two of the games have serious weather concerns and really can’t be played at all outside of MME. The main slate has a little bit of rain, but nothing that looks too serious, so let’s dive in and see what we find.
Wednesday Night Pitching
The pitching dries up quickly tonight and lacks upside all around. The only proven ace here is Walker Buehler, but even he is more of a real-life ace than a dominant DFS arm. This is what my initial list of options looks like:
Walker Buehler vs St. Louis – 25.3% K, 4.5% BB, 2.66 ERA, 3.51 SIERA
Sean Manaea at Seattle – 24.2% K, 5.5% BB, 3.86 ERA, 3.73 SIERA
Shane McClanahan at NY Yankees – 29.6% K, 6.5% BB, 3.29 ERA, 3.17 SIERA
Alek Manoah vs Miami – 7 K, 2 BB in major league debut
Jordan Montgomery vs Tampa – 24.7% K, 6% BB, 4.22 ERA, 3.76 SIERA
Framber Valdez vs Boston – 4 IP, 72 pitches in season debut
Randy Dobnak at Baltimore – 16.5% K, 5.2% BB, 6.49 ERA, 3.96 SIERA
