College Football Baker’s Dozen – Week 3

Week 3 is here and the slate of college games on the DFS sites are much nicer this week. There have been some injuries to some key players which is leading to some really good value this week especially at QB which should us the opportunity to stack the WR and RB positions. We’ve also had 1 or 2 games for all teams so we can start to see some trends develop.

Here are the 13 things I am looking forward to this week!

1. Daxx Garman – Fanduel has Garman priced at $4500 and he is starting for Oklahoma State for the next couple weeks. OSU gets UTSA this week and I think OSU lets Garman air it out and get some confidence before conference play. I fully expect 300 yards and 2-3 TDs, that more than pays off his min. salary.

2. Jamison Crowder – Crowder had an “off” week last Saturday and “only” had 7 receptions for 70 yards. Duke is back at home this week and gets KU, We can pencil in 10 recs, 100 yards and at least 1 TD.

3. Clint Tricket and Kevin White – I am officially jumping off the CJ Brown bandwagon this week and hitching my wagon to WVU’s offense. Maryland not is very good and even though they are at home this week they will get exposed by a sneaky good West Virginia squad that should have no problem putting up yards and points. Tricket and White are going to be in a large portion of my lineups this week.

4. Tevin Coleman, Nate Sudfeld, James Knapke, Travis Green, Shane Wynn pretty much anyone who touches the ball for BGSU and Indiana – Vegas thinks this game is going to be close with both teams scoring around 30. There will not be much if any defense played in this game so you could almost stack this sucker up. Coleman is my #1 play this week at any position and at $7700 on DK and $8700 on FD I think there are enough value plays out there to easily fit him in this week

5. Keevan Lucas and Dane Evans – Lucas proved last week against OU he is going to put up big stats every week. Tulsa plays at FIU this week and we can expect them to air it out. Keevan Lucas is basically Jamison Crowder at $1200 less.

6. Christian Hackenberg and the PSU WRs – Let us not forget that Rutgers has a horrific pass defense and allowed over 500 yards through the air in week 1. I would not hesitate to put both Hamilton and Lewis and the TE James in the same line up. They are both reasonably priced and are Hackenberg’s 3 main targets.

7. Taylor Kelly, DJ Foster and Jaelen Stong – Vegas thinks ASU will put up at least 40 on Colorado and if they do these 3 will be responsible for the bulk of that damage Foster went ape last week and I would expect nothing but more of the same this week.

8. Jay Ajayi – Boise State’s head coach has said he is not afraid to give Ajayi the ball 35 times a game. Add that with the fact that he also is a threat in the passing game make Ajayi just about the safest play in college DFS. I think it is safe to pencil in at least 150 total yards and a TD.

9. Mark Weisman – This pick is very risky and is probably best left for GPPs as Weisman has only rushed for 47 yards through 2 games. Last year he had over 200 yards rushing vs. ISU and this is just a shot in the dark that lightening strikes twice. If it does and you have him in you lineup you will win all the moneys.

10. Devin Funches – Funches is beginning to emerge as a top flight WR. His posted back to back monster games and gets a patsy this week. These are the types of games he’s shown he can put up 2-3 TDs.

11. Javorius Allen – Allen has rushed for 154 and 133 in the first 2 games and this week gets BC who gave up 200+ yards on the ground to Connor of Pitt last week. It would be wise to have some exposure to him in your lineups this week.

12. Kelvin Taylor – If Taylor is going to be the #1 RB and get the majority of carries versus real competition then his $3,900 price tag should be a steal especially if he can deliver 100+ yards and a touchdown.

13. Wes Lunt – Eastern Washington hung some huge passing numbers on Washington and Lunt gets them this week. Illinois can’t run the ball and they don’t play defense so Lunt is going to have to throw, throw and throw some more.
