College Football DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Week 1 (Saturday Slate)
Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?
headChopper: Mike Penix threw for over 4,600 yards and 31 TDs last season. He returns his top 3 WRs, who accounted for over 2,900 of those yards and 22 TDs. At only a 2-TD spread, this should actually be one of the more competitive games on the slate.
darddog: There is only one spread that is under 10 points, and that game is Northern Illinois at Boston College. So it’s not a slate where many game stacks seem viable. I would try to find a couple spots that you see being more competitive than the spread may indicate like we saw from Rhode Island at Georgia State on Thursday night and get contrarian and fit in some game stacks. Colorado at TCU is going to be one that fits that bill for me.
STLCardinals84: You are going to have plenty of salary available this week, as there are notable mispricings on DraftKings with the likes of Braelon Allen and Bru McCoy. The stars-and-scrubs build is almost always the preferred path in the first few weeks of the season, and that will definitely be the case here in Week 1.
kmurray03: Ole Miss played at the 4th-fastest pace in all of FBS last year, and they find themselves in an elite matchup against Mercer. You have to worry about blowout concerns, but both Jaxon Dart and Quinshon Judkins project very well here.
