Darddog's Attack Plan for College Football DFS: Week 3

Article Image

A top-ranked college football DFS player, Micah Bedard (darddog) is here to walk you through the upcoming DraftKings slate. Micah will break down his favorite DFS picks at each position and will also lay out his strategy for how he is attacking the slate overall.

Another week where I got a lot of stuff right but not enough pieces of the Texas A&M / Miami game to take down any GPPs. My ways to get different on the slate all hit, as Xavier Weaver was the guy you needed to pair with Shedeur Sanders, and Deion Burks was a huge bust as chalk.

We move onto Week 3, and these games are something. We have a grand total of zero top-25 matchups on the entire slate. I am warming up to it a bit though, as you do have a few spots that will go overlooked, and QB is much stronger this week.

Let’s get into my top plays for the DK Main Slate for Week 3.

College Football DFS: Top DraftKings Picks for Week 3

Quarterback

Core Plays

Jayden Daniels
$8,600

Daniels is a threat to break the slate every time he’s on it. The thing that makes him such a great play this week is his price. He’s $1,000 less than Jordan Travis, and I will take the discount on him. He’s a true dual-threat QB and ran for 90 yards in the opener against Florida State. You can pair him with any of his WRs. My preference is probably Malik Nabers, but I think Kyren Lacy and Brian Thomas are great GPP options as well. The Tigers need Daniels to be elite for them to have any chance on making the CFB Playoff this season after losing the opener, and I think he puts on a show in Starkville.

Riley Leonard
$6,700

Leonard has yet to set the world on fire this season, but he hasn’t really had to. Their defense played great in a upset of Clemson in Week 1, and he completed all of his passes in a blowout of Lafayette last week. Like Daniels, he can make plays with his legs if needed, and he ran for 98 yards against Clemson. Northwestern’s offense has been horrible to start the season, and my only worry here is that Duke blows the doors off the Wildcats. Having said that, if Duke scores a lot of points, Leonard will probably be one of the big reasons why. I don’t think you need to pair him with a WR since his targets are pretty spread out.
