Darddog's Attack Plan for College Football DFS: Week 6
A top-ranked college football DFS player, Micah Bedard (darddog) is here to walk you through the upcoming DraftKings slate. Micah will break down his favorite DFS picks at each position and will also lay out his strategy for how he is attacking the slate overall.
We are hitting our stride heading into Week 6 of the CFB season, which usually happens this time of the year. Snap counts become predictable, as well as who is going to get the backfield and through the air for the most part.
If you didn’t have Ashton Jeanty or Blake Watson last week, you probably did not do so hot. The problem was 50%+ of the field had them, and you probably had to have Ray Davis in your lineup to take anything down, who went nuclear against Florida.
It was a very solid week for me on DK. I hate to think how good of a week it would have been if Taylen Green did not get pulled in the fourth quarter, while his backup threw 2 TDs to Jeanty. I don’t want to talk about it.
Week 6 is here and with it some great matchups and, of course, some prices on DK that we can take advantage of.
Let’s get right into it.
College Football DFS: Top DraftKings Picks for Week 6
Quarterback
Core Plays
Jayden Daniels
$9,000
When pricing initially came out for the week, I thought it would be a bit uncomfortable to fit in Daniels. Luckily, a great value play was dropped in our lap on Thursday, which I’ll get to in a bit. Daniels has been fantastic this season, but unfortunately his defense has not been up to the task. That’s good news for us in DFS however, as LSU’s defense is giving up points left and right, so Daniels and his offense have to counter back. His lowest FP output in his past four games is 33 FP, and he just put up 50.5 against Ole Miss. He’s a dual-threat QB with two clear options to pair him with. Fire him up in all formats.
Brady Cook
$7,400
Cook might come in at half the ownership of Daniels, but he might be my favorite QB of the slate. He’s probably one of the most improved signal callers in the country. In 2022, he was more of a runner and only threw for 2,748 yards and 14 TDs to go along with 7 INTs. Through 5 games this year, he’s thrown for 1,466 yards, 11 TDs and 0 INTs. He and Luther Burden III are forming one of the best passing duos in the country. I mentioned how bad the LSU defense has been this year, and they just gave up 711 yards of total offense to Ole Miss. Cook should have a big day against this secondary, and if he starts running like he did in 2022, he could break the slate wide open.
