Condia Favorite To Lead/Win Overall, Monthly and NFL Seasonal Rankings

Well Grinder Nation, I’ve only been doing these rankings for three weeks and while still working on my methodology for the weekly article I get hit with the trifecta. Weekly Rankings, Monthly Rankings, and NFL Seasonal Rankings all happening in one fell swoop. So bear with me here, as I am going to do my best to give recognition to as many Grinder Superstars as humanly possible because there are so many deserving players. The last thing of note in the past week is the start of the NBA season, which has brought a bevy of new players to the game with infinite basketball wisdom. Look for more and more shifts atop the leaderboard moving forward.

Overall Grinder Rankings

One thing I have learned in my brief stint here is that apparently challenging the Grinders leads to big things! Last week I mentioned how the top 5 had remained stagnant for a couple weeks and dared someone to try and mix it up. Apparently I woke a sleeping giant as Beermakersfan pushed up a spot to #4. While this one spot jump doesn’t sound glamorous, moving up in the top 5 is a tremendous task and for that, Beermakersfan, we salute you. Also, I’m pretty sure my open fanfare for Westy last week lit a fire under Primetime420 as he surged back up a spot to reclaim #8 overall. Great work Primetime420 and I hope to see this back and forth rivalry develop and maybe end with both of you rising one week! And I have to recognize Condia as he continues to lead the Overall GLB Rankings(more on him later) and the rest of the top ten players. Congrats to Rudzia555, Hixvillehunk, KaiserRoll13, Ohmsy, Iwasoncelost and Heelsman. Sometimes it’s tough to come up with the right words to describe how dominant these guys have been.

Next Grinder Nation would like to welcome the two newest players on the top 100 scene. 2011 FFFC Finalists Highrdghoosiers and Jackandsoda entered the top 100 with a bang. Not only did they make the top 100, but they moved all the way to 61st and 62nd respectively. With a name like Highrdhoosiers I have to believe this guy is an NBA ace. Jackandsoda may use his name to fool competitors about his drunken state, but his mind is clearly sharp as a tack with all this winning! Good work guys!
So who made the biggest jump this week within the top 100? We can start with J21willy, who we were mentioning last week as the only new addition to the top 100. Now he’s up 11 places further and sitting strong at #87, keep it up J21willy! The biggest jump of the week goes to Hatorade who pushed up 18 spots to #52 overall. Any time a player moves that much you know he had one great week! Other guys of note are Superduper who jumped ten spots to #68, Luckbox8 who jumped 5 spots to #86 overall, Tshaw7 who moved up 9 spots to #90, and Db730 who moved up 4 spots this week following his big win (see Rotogrinders interview with Db730) of $11,000 in the Super Joust.

December Monthly Daily Fantasy Leaderboard Rankings

Next on the agenda is to try and sort out the December GLB Rankings which showcase some of the best and most dangerous daily fantasy players over the past 30 days. Here’s where I need to give credit to Condia, because it is one thing to have a commanding lead on the overall rankings as that can be built up over time. But he’s also winning the monthly GLB points race. That is something to be commended and a model Grinder Nation should be looking to strive for. Other top 5 guys for the month of December include Rudzia555 who, like Condia, is an absolute fantasy stud so keep it up! Maxdalury is at third for December and the success this month has propelled him up 3 spots in the overall GLB Ranks this week to #21. Zxaym sits in fourth for December and, like Maxdalury, has used a successful December to reach #19 overall. Rounding out the top 5 is Ohmsy, who sits in 6th for the Overall GLB Ranking. The remaining top ten players for December is comprised of Csuram88 at #6, Westy at #7, Killab2482 at #8, Beermakersfan at #9, and Dinkpiece at #10. 2011 NFL Season Rankings

The last thing to mention this week is the end of the NFL season this weekend. With 16 weeks down, we have a pretty clear vision of how the daily fantasy rankings will shape up for the season so I have included the top 25 guys in NFL play for the 2011 season. A lot of these guys in the top 25 used a successful NFL season to push themselves forward in the overall rankings. Again Condia took the top spot and is running away with the seasonal #1 spot heading into Week 17. But looking at guys like Killab2482, who sits in 5th for the 2011 NFL Season, 8th for the month of December and now sits at #25 for Overall GLB, we can see how much one guy can jump just by having a great month or season.

So to all of you out there in the top 100 for any of these categories, and all of you out there striving to get there I say thank you. You guys continue to surprise me and make this article a lot of fun to write. I hope you continue to have monetary success in 2012. Happy New Year! Have fun with your hangover on Sunday with the Winter Classic, NFL Week 17, NBA GPP’s, and College Bowl Games. I can’t think of a better remedy for a night of excessive drinking. P.S. If you’re friends with any of the guys at the top of the leaderboards make sure they’re paying for drinks on New Year’s because you know they’re doing alright for themselves!
